The Continuing Education Unit, in collaboration with the Civil Engineering Department at Al-Mansour University College, organized a specialized scientific seminar titled"Modern Paving Techniques." The event was attended by a select group of academics and specialists in the field of civil engineering.
The seminar was moderated by the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Adel Naher Abed. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the importance of staying updated on the latest scientific and engineering methods in paving, citing the vital role this sector plays in infrastructure and urban development.
The seminar hosted Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mansi Musa from Al-Mustansiriyah University, who reviewed the latest global techniques utilized in paving. He also discussed design and implementation standards, as well as modern materials used to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of pavement projects.
The event was also distinguished by the presence of the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdul Sattar Shaker, who honored the guests and participants. He commended the significance of the topic and highlighted the importance of such scientific events in fostering a research and development environment within the college.
This seminar is part of a series of scientific activities that the Civil Engineering Department and the Continuing Education Unit are keen to organize. These activities aim to raise the level of engineering awareness among students and bridge the gap between academic theory and contemporary practical applications in the construction sector.
